Plus 2 hours for setup, decorating and an hour after reception to breakdown and remove decor.

The Ceremony is at the Gazebo or in the Reception Hall

Reception in the reception hall.   Reception ends at 11 pm

1 hour wedding rehearsal on Friday night from 5 to 6 pm

Optional rehearsal dinner from 6 to 9 pm,   $500.00

Package includes:

  • 45 x 55  reception hall, with chandeliers, attractive decor and easy access to the gardens and gazebo. Handicapped accessible, climate control & ample parking

  • 20 x 20 dance floor

  • Buffet set up in 20. X 30 front room or in the reception hall

  • 18 round tables and Banquet chairs for up to 140 guests

  • 5 eight foot rectangle tables, for buffet, head table etc

  • 5 six foot rectangle tables, for dJ, gift, cake etc

  • One 48 inch round couples table, or cake table

  • 8 tall bar tables

  • 2 dressing rooms

The Reception is over by  11 , music is turned off, guests leave. Cleanup and breakdown is from 11 to midnight.

If additional set up, decorating hours are needed the cost is $75.00 an hour. 

Facility cleanup is included in the rental 

Table & chair setup and breakdown is done by venue staff

 Your Caterer is responsible for kitchen cleanup, cleaning off  tables and trash disposal.  (Dumpster is located on the property)

Rental information

 

The Venue at Flat Rock is located at St John Neumann Church in Powhatan Va.  The space has its own entrance, private, quiet outdoor space with gardens and gazebo, fully equipped warming kitchen and reception hall.  You do not have to belong to the church to rent the reception space.  

 

There are no restrictions on outside vendors.  You may use any caterer or vendor of your choice at no extra charge.  

 

Catering information:

You can bring your own caterer or choose from our preferred list. 

Self catering and food drop off is allowed for 50 guests or less.

Events that do not have a caterer will be charged  a cleaning fee between $75 and $200 depending on kitchen use, number of hours and number of guests

 

Linens can be rented separately from us or a rental company 

Additional tables, chairs and wedding props can be rented from a rental company

 

Alcohol-   An ABC license is required, you can apply online at www.abc.viraginia.gov/licenses/banquet.  Cost is $55.00

 

Liability insurance is required.  It is obtained from the Diocese of Richmond, and cost $100.00.  This is completed a month before and is completed by venue staff and renter.

 

Refundable damage deposit of $400.00 is returned after the event

 

30 % of  the rental fee and a signed contract is required to hold your date.

Balance is due 30 days before your event.
